First Memorial Day

The King family invited us to spend Memorial Day weekend with them at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin.  We had a great time…Brayden was mesmerized by Mason!  He really made progress on crawling this weekend!

Lil B is getting quite the personality now.  He seems to love wearing Daddy’s hats, or at least tolerates Daddy putting them on him!

 

 

 

He has also discovered a new toy, this is from my mom’s co-worker.  Brayden is ALL boy, that’s for sure! 

 

 

He loves to make a mess when eating food, what baby doesn’t though, right?  It can be really hard to make him focus on eating sometimes!

Lucky 7 (months that is!)

Lil B is now 7 months old!  He is really starting to show his personality, smiling and giggling a lot!  It’s so much fun to watch him grow. 

Here are his latest stats:

27.5” long – 75th percentile

20 lbs – 75th percentile

We’re just getting over our first ear infection.  Hopefully he doesn’t take after his mom and dad!  We had our chiropractor friend come over a couple times last week and work on him a little bit, so we’re hoping that will help.

Brayden is getting very mobile now.  He has mastered rolling over (both ways), does a backward scoot or side slide to get around, can sit up all by himself for a long time, and knows that when something goes away, it can come back.  He is also doing the “rock” when he gets up on all fours, so I think it just a matter of time before he is crawling forwards now.  We are starting to realize that we may have to baby-proof the house a little bit more!

Also, we have moved Lil B into the Big B carseat!  I think he really likes to look around when we are driving.  I’ll try to get a picture of that up soon!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

It is Chris’ birthday today, not a major milestone birthday like last year, but this is his first as a dad! 

FIRST Mommy’s Day!

It’s my FIRST official Mother’s Day today!  My boys were so good to me!  This morning we went to the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure at the Mall of America.  We walked in celebration of my Mom and Grandma Betty, and in memory of: Great Aunt Carmen, Aunt Virginia Westvig, Aunt Kay Stephany & Cousin Becky Westvig.  This is our second time walking, we hope to keep it a Mother’s Day tradition for many years to come!

 

 

All bundled up and ready to go!  It sure is good Brayden has his fleece camouflage, this whole weekend has been freezing cold!

Yep…ALL of the men are wearing PINK t-shirts too!!  We made it to the finish, it’s a 5K walk, or a run earlier in the morning.   My brother said we should run it next year….might have to think about that one!

Brayden was quite the crowd pleaser, even the Vikings cheerleaders were enamored by him…uh oh!

 

 

 

After the walk, the dads made us lunch at my parents house, quite delish!  So thankful for my hubby that helped me celebrate being a mommy today, I wouldn’t be a mommy without him!  LOVE my boys!!

Twins Game #3

Yep, Twins Game #3!!  Brayden and I are seasoned veterans of Target Field now!  Today’s seats were with our friends Scott & Emily.  Now, we’re really spoiled, we got to sit in the Legends’ Club, cushy seats and all!  Not sure how we’ll ever go back to the Common Seats! 

 

The sun came out just before the game started and then again at the end of the game, just our luck!

 

 

Twins Game #2

Brayden & I went to our SECOND Twins Game with Brad & Sarah & Maddie today.  Yep, we’re a little spoiled!   The Twins won again, so we’re 2 for 2 so far! 

 

It was VERY cold!!  But I promise you, under all those layers are some very cute Twins outfits!
