Noodles Mac & Cheese

This is what happens when Daddy travels, I cook boring meals that I know B will eat.  So tonight I found a recipe for Noodles Mac & Cheese, one of my personal favorites, and it actually turned out pretty close to the real deal!  To quote Brayden, "yum, yum, yummy!"

B picked out his costume this year,a lion!  I was so happy he wanted to be something cute for at least one more year.

Hanging with Mommy

Daycare is closed for the week which means hanging with Mommy all day.  Luckily we had some beautiful weather so far.  We even good a little raking in which Daddy should appreciate.

Here is also a pic of the belly at roughly 5 months.  Crazy how fast time flies!

State Fair time!

It's that time of year....Minnesota State Fair!  In the past 15 years, I don't think I have missed one Fair.  There is just something about the Great Minnesota Get-Together that I cannot miss!  This year we met up with our neighbors and ate as much food as possible, that is the point of the fair right?  Brayden had a great time looking at the cows and horses, and even petting some of them.  He even got to go on his first Fair ride, the cars.  Although it rained the last hour we were there, it didn't put a damper on our fun!

Lil man

Brayden is growing up so fast lately!  His latest phrases crack us up: "Big muscles!" and "I'm busy now"  He is also great at making sure we pray before meals.  It's amazing the little things that they pick up on.

House Renovation Pics-Kitchen

I realized the other day that I am long overdue in posting pictures of what we have been doing around the house.  See below for a start of a long list….and please pardon my photography skills!

-what it looked like when Chris first moved into the house.  Notice the pretty orange/pink walls, lacey curtains and of course the drop ceiling.

-what it looks like now….we installed granite countertops, cherry cabinets, tile backsplash, travertine floors, all new stainless appliances.  It’s going to be hard to leave this!

 

 

-how we came up with the idea to wrap the countertop around into the dining room. We found it to be a great place for extra storage/counter space.

 

-what it looked like after we removed the drop ceiling, and painted the walls. It definitely brightened up the dark brown room.

Corn on the cob is yummy!

B loves corn on the cob, he also loves to wear his sunglasses....upside-down!  Crazy kid.  We're ready for summer at this house!

First Boatride of the Season!

Brayden got a new lifejacket so we had to test it out in Papa's boat.  Getting excited for some warmer temps!

Go Twins!

First Twins game of the 2012 season!  It poured, but luckily we were under the only roof at Target field.  B fell asleep for the first few innings, but was wide awake to run the bases!
